LIAA – Investment and Development Agency of Latvia
The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), which reports to the Latvian Ministry of Economics, aims to increase the export capacity and competitiveness of Latvian companies, facilitate foreign investment and implement a policy of industrial development and innovation.
Building new contacts through trade missions, in the B2B sphere, at specific events, at individual meetings, and participation in export workshops is what the LIAA offers to local companies looking for opportunities in foreign markets.
Investment Facilitation and Support
The LIAA also focuses particularly on facilitating investment. Local representatives serve as supporters and guides for foreign investors. Latvia offers legislation that is favourable to entrepreneurship and advocates for a sound tax policy, infrastructure and support instruments.
We advise our clients on the LIAA’s services, business opportunities and available support. Detailed information on EU offerings can be found through the Enterprise Europe Network. The LIAA is the official EEN partner in Latvia.
For those taking their first steps in business and trying to turn their ideas into reality, 15 business incubators are available throughout Latvia.
